How to prevent static electricity in LCD modules?
Release time:2021-08-08
LCD modules are widely used in many electronic products. Here are some important tips for ESD protection of LCD modules:

Static electricity adsorbs dust, reduces insulation resistance and shortens service life; electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage causes electronic components to fail; the strong electromagnetic field generated by ESD leads to abnormal operation or damage of equipment.

Precautions for use:

  1. Wear a wrist strap to keep the human body at the same potential as the ground. Use an ESD‑protected workbench. Do not place insulating materials in the safe area. Handle IC‑mounted PCBs only on ESD workbenches. Test wrist straps and shoe covers daily.

  2. Ground all instruments and equipment. Treat all components as ESD‑sensitive. Never touch sensitive components without proper grounding.

  3. Do not remove ICs from anti‑static tubes without ESD protection. Use ionizers in static‑prone processes. Store ICs in shielded containers when not in use. Keep gas and liquid flow at low speed.
